Our move date is fast approaching, and though we're taking less than we thought, it still seems as if there are a million and one things to consume the time.
Stress levels are astronomical right now.
I've been able to manage to keep a semblance of sanity thanks to works of love: donating items to a local charity for resale and sending gifts to a sister-in-law who just had her 6th blessing.
Tonight I also crafted holy water fonts, my first craft in weeks!!! Oh the stress taming!! Our current fonts are wall hung candle holders I picked up from the local thrift stores.
I wanted something more overtly religious, but handmade. Bonus points for helping reduce my stress.
Enter Sculpey clay.
I just realized the Blessed Mother font will be able to hold a rosary from her praying hands. I was very excited about that ~ I'll have to make a rosary out of tiny crystal beads to match.
Speaking of other really cool items, check out these handmade wooden crucifixes from Robert at Etsy.
Yes, I really need to make one of these, but I probably won't have the time ever.
I think I want to become a patron of the arts.
